HID (High Intensity Discharge) is an intensely different type of light technology. High Intensity Discharge lighting does not have a filament as standard halogen bulbs do, but instead creates light by igniting an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight quartz capsule filled with xenon gas. HID light is also called Xenon light, referring to the gas inside the bulb.

This model uses a pivoting or sliding discharge tube to achieve both low and high beam in HID light. Includes High/Low controller in kit.
